Charlotte lost out on Heyward and have salary cap room and want to get better now.  Green has similar stats to Heyward and Bass would help with Vonleh's transition to NBA.

Celtics get rid of salary, get a good defensive player with upside, and make room for Olynyk, Sullinger to get PF playing time.

Green/Bass for MKG/Biyombo works if you find the right filler.  We have brought this idea up several times in the past.

You want another guy who can't shoot?  Even the people in Charlotte have admitted that MKG"s form is broken ;D  Plus, what else does the guy bring to a game aside from athleticism and defense?  I just don't see the appeal, so please explain why you'd like him here.

Finding a filler that would satisfy both parties might be too difficult.  I'd do Green for MKG/Biyombo though.  We need to rebuild and one or both of these guys could turn a corner.

Trading a couple of 22-23 year olds for more established 28-29 year olds makes sense for them and it helps us save money and rebuild faster.

Them:

Jefferson  Zeller
Bass. Vonleh
Green.
Henderson. Neal
Kemba

Us:

Biyombo. Zeller
Sullinger. Olynyk
MKG. Young. Wallace
Smart. Thornton
Rondo. Bradley

That would be awesome.

We trade for these guys if our goal is not to win next season.

Charlotte has enough cap room to make that deal work.  Trade machine might give them cap holds for their free agents, but if they can offer Gordon Hayward $15 million next year, they can take on Bass and Green for MKG.

Do Green +  Bass for MKG and Biyombo if Bobcats are crazy enough to do it...

Then do  http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=pxa5fjx

Rondo + Wallace (23 mil) for Williams (expiring), Terry (expiring), Outlaw (expiring),  Evans (expiring), Ben McLemore and a pick.

Clear the decks and build around PG - Smart, SG - McLemore/Bradley, SF - MKG/Young, PF - Oly/Sully C - Biyombo/Zeller

12 wins... Top 4 pick next year... infinite cap space

... Honestly that team would at least be tough defensively.

You and I are on the same page.  Although, I would prefer Stauskas to McLemore.
There's no way we can put together a team that can beat Cleveland in the next few years.  We might as well rebuild for the long term.

I'm sorry but MKG is not good. Courtney Lee completely changed-up his shot because someone compared his old form to MKG (MKG shot 11.1% percent from 3 last year...11.1). Not to mention his defense was completely exposed last year in the playoffs. He's athletic, but James Young (another Kentucky wing) could very well end up being a much better player than MKG will ever be. Rather focus on him.

Brilliant.  TP.  If we are going to rebuild, that's how to do it.  If they want Rondo for McLemore, make them take Wallace.

36.5 mil in expiring contracts with Bogans Williams, Anthony, Thornton , Outlaw, terry, and Evans.  We would have to trade some of them for Amare just to keep the roster at 15.  Even if we waive Bogans, Pressey, Babb, johnson, we would be at 16.

Smart. TERRY
Bradley. McLemore.  THORNTON
MKG. Young.  OUTLAW
Sullinger.  Olynyk.  WILLIAMS. EVANS
Biyombo. Zeller. Faverani. ANTHONY

I love it.  Play the 9 young guys, heck play Williams some at the 3 and let You g get some run in the Dleague.

Next summer combine our 10 young players and 5 extra first round draft picks and try to get some star players.
