One step closer to Bosh joining D12 and Harden in Houston...

Would this put Houston over the Clips for 3rd in the West? I don't know, I wonder how their bench will look like now. They lost A?ik and Lin, who are still good players.

It's a pity D'Antoni isn't still there. Lin and D'Antoni were a good pairing.

I called that one a couple days ago... Lakers seemed like a team that would make sense to absorb Lin's contract and pick up an asset.   Plus he can help them.

On philly's blog they said they had a deal in place already... they were already pretty angry they didn't jump on the Zeller/1st freebie... I imagine they are going to be pretty angry they missed out on the Lin + 1st freebie.

They already moved Asik to the Pelicans... so all they really have to do is just dump Lin on a team with cap space like Philly... and they will give up Jones/Monte as the bonus for taking on Lin's expiring contract
...

In-fact, my guess is that the Lakers are the team that take on the contracts.  They could certainly use Lin + jones.

Edit:  Actually according to Philly's blog, it will be Lin + a 1st to Philly. http://www.libertyballers.com/2014/7/9/5885973/sixers-rockets-jeremy-lin-trade-chris-bosh
Only reason I included Jones in there was because there was a suggestion that they'd need to dump him as well to clear necessary cap space.

Lin played in all the places with heavy Chinese populations

The Greater Toronto area has a Chinese Canadian population of about the same size as the Chinese American population in the Greater Los Angeles area and Lin hasn't played for the Raptors yet.
