I'm rooting for these guys. Even though Bertans got injured 3rd SL game I think he could be given careful consideration in deciding the final 15 man roster. Moser has impressed, and he can score (averaging 13 pts through 4 SL games) and rebound (avg 4 per game). Larranaga has given praise to both players as well. The problem is how they make the "logjammed roster", with 17 players. 4 players have nonguaranteed contracts but its likely 2 of them stay (Pressey, Johnson) which makes 15 total, the max allowed in a roster. Still rooting for these guys to make it in somehow, maybe make adjustments in the roster where needed to fit both players in.

Ya, and also, Moser adds depth to SF behind Green, Wallace, and Johnson, and Bertans is known to play multiple positions (read from a report).

I think they are both worth a roster spot, but we just don't have the room.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Hoping we can atleast add one to the roster. Preferably Moser.

Babb, Chris Johnson, Pressey, Bogans, Hump will be gone by opening night;

That leaves the following:

Rondo
Smart
Young
Wallace
Sully
KO
Faverani
Thornton
Zeller
Bradley
Green
Joel Anthony

That leaves 2 roster spots open, we can slot in Bertans at least, and one vacancy for any eventuality
Peavey Bass Player - relearning to play after 10 years sucks;

Add Bass to your list, but there's no way Moser or Bertans get a spot over CJ, Pressey, Hump or especially Bogans.

Ideally, we trade Bogans before we have to keep paying him to do whatever he's doing (doubt anyone in the Celtics organization is happy about that).

Moser has nba talent.  I'd swap him for Chris Johnson without thinking twice about it.  Bertans I like,  but he'd never see the floor.

Moser is a chucker and nothing more IMO.  He has no dribble drive skills. Babb showed more ability in getting to the rim, and he's not that great at it.  babb is a better defender too.Bertrand doesn't do enough well to make it. Moser has size, but that's about it.

Nothing wrong with rooting for longshots, but it seems like every year there's a certain portion of the Celtics fanbase who virtually insist that such-and-such unheard-of player is good enough to play in the NBA and should make the team (Lasme, Christmas, etc.), but not only do these players usually fail to make the Cs, they usually fail to stick anywhere in the NBA, thus proving they weren't very good players. Sure, technically you could find a diamond in the rough, but I think you're setting yourself up for disappointment—these guys are nothing more than warm bodies for summer league and training camp.

What makes you think Bogans will be on the roster?  If Pressey isn't going to be here on opening night, he's going to be gone by Tuesday. Babb and CJ, in contrast, may be battling for their spots all the way to October. Hump is already gone.

I'm in this category.  I have hopes every year these guys pan out but alas my eye test is mostly wrong.  I liek Moser and Bertrans but agree dont think they have enough to make a spot.

How low is our hope that we hope 2 summer league guys make the roster?  I am hoping a few of them get cut and we get some NBA level players not roster filler.

Pressey is making the team. The last spot is between babb, johnson, moser. Whatever happens I think moser will get a preseason invite.
