Thompson has been pretty vocal about leaving the Kings.  He has three years left on his deal.  Wallace only has two years left, but he makes more money.

My idea is Wallace and Clippers first round pick for Outlaw and Thompson.

Or

Wallace, Faverani, and Clippers first for Thompson and Terry.

Thompson can push Zeller at center and even though he has one year longer on his deal than Wallace, we save money in 2015-2016 because he makes much less.  By the 3rd year he will be a bargain and an expiring contract.

Kings lose a guy that doesn't want to be there, unclogs their logjam at PF, gets a solid backup behind Rudy Gay, and loses the contract a year earlier than Thompson.  Clippers pick is a small price to pay.

You lost me when you suggested the possibility of reacquiring of Jason Terry (never mind Thompson's contract) haha.  Watching 'the jet' constantly fail to take off was hard enough the first time.  Please, just no.  There are too many bad memories ;D

Ok think about it like this.

Pay Wallace 20 million over 2 years, or Thompson 19 million over 3.  The 3rd year, I believe can be bought out for 2.5 mil, so really he is only guaranteed 15 million over 3 years.  Very cheap for a 6-11 250 big man that is still only 27.  He would contribute way more than Wallace.

Terry would be waived.

He is a center.  He has to play PF because they have cousins.

It's a cheaper way to get a center (by trading Wallace) instead of trying to sign one with the MLE.

No interest in Thompson. 6 years in, 27 years old, and he still doesn't play a lick of defense. Not like he the offensive game to make up for everything he gives away on the other end of the court. Underachiever.
