ESPN learned that Josh McRoberts has verbally committed to sign with the Miami Heat

There's their Bosh replacement.

Now they can sign Deng to take Lebron's place, and overpay Wade.
Miami have a strange fascinatuon with stretch forwards.

They need jump-shooting from their bigs to space the floor for two slashers on the wing (Wade, LeBron). Replace Wade with a jump-shooting SG and Miami would be much less reliant on jump-shooting big men.

So this means Bosh is gone?
No it doesn't effect Bosh.

It is going to mean they're not adding much else beyond small pieces if Bosh/LBJ stay.

Yep.  The Heat can bring back their own guys (Birdman/Haslem/Chalmers/Allen in addition to Big 3), sign someone to the BAE ($2 mil per year for two years), and add minimum-salary players.

More than likely McRoberts replaces Birdman.  He might wind up replacing Bosh, but that's not the plan.

I think McRoberts is replacement for Haslem as starting PF to play alongside center Bosh.

Would Heat sign McR without assurances from LBJ this would be enough to bring him back?

Makes sense. Wade's got a good post game, he just never developed any real range.

So I guess it was Josh McRoberts who actually was the 1st domino to fall...am I right?

So are we expecting the Heat roster to look similar to something like this?

Chalmers (still questionable)
Cole (assuming he'll be traded)
Napier
Wade (most likely to stay out of Big 3, IMO)
Allen
Jones
James (if he returns)
Granger
Haslem (when resigned)
Birdman
McBob
Bosh (if he stays)

Didn't include

Oden (believe he was a one year contract?)
Beasely (see absolutely no reason to be brought back)

Is this semi-accurate?
Long-form is far from dead, but please refrain from paragraph-laden posts! Who wants to read that?!

About right.  I wouldn't be surprised to see only two of Allen, Chalmers, Birdman, and Haslem return, however.  The Heat are still subject to the hard cap, and assuming all of the above are not minimum-players, the collection could be too expensive.

No guarantees made, but Danny Granger/Josh McRoberts committed to Heat w/ strong belief LeBron James will be a teammate, sources tell Yahoo.

TP. Thanks for the clarification. I only care about what happens to MIA in regards to how it impacts the Cs and really the league in general. If MIA is to bring only two of the four questionable players back I can only see it being Allen and Haslem. Then again, I don't see Allen returning to MIA if LBJ leaves so who knows.

Luol Deng will be an interesting domino when he finally falls. Won't be MIA but it will make things clearer.

wondering if this strong belief was conveyed by Riley to their agents?  Doubt they were in touch with LBJ people prior to committing to MIA.
