Charlotte's Josh McRoberts emerging as serious free agent candidate for Miami, sources tell Yahoo. Realistic option at mid-level exception.

If this was to happen I would think this would open up a possible Bass to Hornets trade. Maybe bringing in Biyombo + hayward or neal and 2nd rd pick?

Bass seems like a good fit to fill his role.

It could, but remember Charlotte has all kinds of cap room, so they can always fill that void through a signing instead of a trade.

I think Charlotte will do something stupid and grossly overpay McRoberts.

But if they were to let him leave, I'd be delighted to send Bass their way.

(a) I would love a future 1st rounder
(b) I'd be happy with Biyombo
(c) I'd be content to let him go for two 2nds
(d) Or even a straight salary dump. No need for Bass with Sully and Olynyk manning the PF position.

Amen!

I was happy with Bass when he played here but I have seen enough of his pump fakes for a life time.

Don't see him getting us a 1st rounder.

I've been calling for them to take on Bass for a while now.

There's their Bosh replacement.

Now they can sign Deng to take Lebron's place, and overpay Wade.

Hmm..Interesting signing by the Heat. He wouldn't be the guy I would target through all this. Good news for the East.

ESPN has learned that McRoberts will receive Heat's full midlevel for the next four years ($23 million) with a player option after Year 3

he is signing so time to send Bass to Hornets, they will have to pay a little bit more but I think he is an upgrade for them.

Interesting signing for miami. I think the plan is to give a big body that can bring skill and shooting to the court along side Bosh and James. Thats if they come back.

No it doesn't effect Bosh.

It is going to mean they're not adding much else beyond small pieces if Bosh/LBJ stay.
