I do not understand why so many believe LeBron will go back to Cleveland.

That Cavs team is so far away being Championship caliber. It's pie in the sky stuff.

agreed

I don't get the feeling from the media at all that James is even thinking about going back to Cleveland. The only thing the media is giving are rumors that Lebron is looking at Cleveland to get more page views. I would be shocked to see James leave Miami at this point, unless a team was able to bring both Melo and James in together.

Broussard on ESPN yesterday said it was neck and neck between Miami and Cleveland, with Miami having the slight edge.

Bolded for emphasis

Which proves my exact point of media stiring up nothing for page views. Broussard is king of this.

You may want to re-think this, PJ.

Haha, No. Yes. I don't know. Definitely wavering.

I'll believe it when I see Kevin Love traded there. Until then, I am still skeptical.

Twitter is a powerful drug.

Cleveland media and front office types think its play certainly.

Yeah, the thing is we'd likely hear about LeBron going there before a Love trade.

I'd have to imagine they'd jump at a chance to get Wiggins no matter the other pieces in the deal.

Dan Gilbert never thought LeBron was leaving in the first place. Because he's an idiot.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Cleveland needs salary space, in order to offer the max to LeBron.

We can help them, trading Wallace + Bogans for Jack + Waiters + Bennett.

Then Cavs can cut Bogans and have 5 M$ more.
And we have some players to trade to Minnesota for Love, or to Memphis for Gasol.

Yes, I think you are right re someone like Love as a pre-condition.  Wonder if Gasol signing with them would be enough?  In some ways he makes more sense on a personnel level, assuming he is healthy. I think he still has a few good years of b-ball left to play.

This assumes LBJ would sign without another big FA or Tradee signing up there as well.  I think it will take another big piece to entice Lebron.

Anderson Varejao

If he is cut it would clear 5.7M in payroll as he will still cost them 4M.

Why not pick him up with our TPE, he fits and will give us a nice one year rental at center. If we do not have a better option I like this move. There is no risk and if healthy he gives us a solid veteran to rebound and help move the ball on offense.

Using the TPE will let Clev save his enitre cap.

wonder if they will pursue him regardless of James re-sign with the Cavs...what if they got Love first and James ended up staying in Miami?
