I also think people would be surprised how little value Sully has to other teams in the league.  I believe I read an article the other day about the C's offering him as part of a package to get the #1 and the Cavs basically laughed.  I've heard Jalen Rose comment on how little both KO and Sully are worth.....

Are either of them even starters on a +500 team?

I think Sully would start at Brooklyn, Miami, San Antonio, Houston and Toronto.

And Charlotte - I still do not understand how they went .500.
Maybe Phoenix. Maybe not. Channing Frye inferior player but big part of their system.

Isn't Gortat an unrestricted free agent?

Brooklyn: KG wouldnt have been benched to start Sully... But he wouldve been a good backup since KGs minutes were limited
Miami: the Heat played small ball most of the time so no Sully wouldnt have started there either..
San Antonio: MAYYYBE
Houston: probably wouldve started over TJones
Toronto: no he wouldve started over Amir Johnson
Charlotte: prolly couldve started there
Phoenix: doesnt work well woth their uptempo style but its possible

Isn't Gortat an unrestricted free agent?

That would make him a potential sign-and-trade candidate.

I would. I'd like to package him & others to land Monroe & Varejao in a trade. Keep the defensive theme going.

With the treasure chest of first rounders, anything is possible with Ainge at the helm.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Yes please.

Which Center do we go after though? Sign and trade for Gortat? For Varejao? For Monroe?

I'd trade him to Memphis for Kosta Koufos.

Sully's not going to be here when this team turns the corner so the answer is yes.
I think he very well may be here...
If he's here, the team is probably not turning the corner.

Gortat seems to want 10+ million. For that money, he can go someplace else, I'm not interested.

Sullinger would've started for the Heat and the Nets, maybe for the Suns and the Spurs (If he develops a three point shot.) and I think he would've started for the  Raptors.

I think it's possible he's here if the team is turning the corner.

I watched a lot of Charlotte games last year and they run an awesome offense, very structered and very similar to the rockets 94 95 teams and play excellent defense.  They finished in the top 10 in opponent defense. They are coached very well and are only a player or 2 away from making serious noise in the east.

I was absolutly supprised. I kept seeing the box score and the wins, so I watched some of their games.  Love broadband league pass.  It was easy to root for them and it got me through the rest of our disaster of a season.

Monroe is the only one of the 3 listed I would trade Sully for.
