If Kobe got a win now wish they sign Carmelo, and can acquire Rondo for Julius Randle and a first. Do you pull the trigger now that we have Smart.

I was thinking about posting a trade idea where we take on Nash ($10M  TE) and Randle plus any filler for Rondo what maybe a few other pieces but not sure if it makes sense for us to go after Randle.

Have the Celtics ever traded anybody to the Lakers?

Seems...wrong, to me

No.

Didn't Randle skip his workout with the Celtics prior to the draft on Wednesday for a GQ appearance?

No thanks.

I don't want to just give Rondo away.

And to think some didn't like Jeff Goodman's idea of dealing Rondo and Olynyk to Denver for Lawson, Faried and their 2014 1st rounder.

absolutely not. Would've traded him for #7, but not for another PF who doesn't play D.

Your right, we only have 3 powerfowards on the roster next season, it is imperative we have 4 to add depth.

Seriously though I would puke all over myself if that ever happened. I'd rather just get 3 unprotected future firsts from a team like Indiana than do that.

Actually he said he skipped because he felt they seen enough of what he could do...which is WORSE.

Julius did the dinosaur dance for them but they were still turned off by his small arms.

Why would we trade with the Lakers and risk that we would, in the end, get the worst of the deal?

+1, winning #18 is important, but preventing the Lakers from winning is also important

they are 1 chip away from tying us...NO WAY

No -- not sold on Randle at all. Bad defense and no jump-shot. Fixable but far from a sure thing. Too much risk there to give up Rondo for.

Yes, for Randle and a future 1st. We may have 2 PF's already (Sullinger and Olynyk), but we are not married to either. In this case. we're collecting another asset and later we can make the decision to trade and keep whichever one(s) we'd like. Plus, I really don't want this Rondo re-signing malarkey to drag on all year.
