I'm not sure what they're called, but the player name that appears under a person's screen name ... I have a question and comment about them.

I've been approaching my 2,000th post, and was eager to see what player would start appearing under my screen name (it had been Don Chaney). I just made post No. 2,000, and was shocked and disappointed to see "Ray Allen" appear. First, because I'd already had Ray Allen once, several hundred posts ago, and also because I don't think he should be one of the players used (or at least not that high on the list). This is like being on a U.S. history forum and making post No. 2,000 and seeing "Benedict Arnold" appear under my screen name.

This is the current list, I believe.  It will probably be updated sometime before the season starts, once there's a stronger sense of who is actually on the roster.

Current Celtics are kept below 1000, then after it's basically the most important Celtics of all time in a debatable order.  Can't deny Ray was important to us.

And last year when this was posted, Roy mentioned that Ray would probably be moved up a few slots over time, so who knows you may get Ray a third time  ;D

bdm860 nailed it.

Ray went from current to historical so its not uncommon for some of our posters who have been on here for a bit to end up having Ray twice.
