I wish this league had the playoffs too.

EDIT: Can it be done? Does it even make sense? I don't know. But it would make it more interesting perhaps.
I don't really think it makes any sense for various reasons but for the past couple years bellevue put a lot of time and energy into a playoff tournament type thing. It was rather interesting

Playoffs only really works if we switched it to a h2h league.  There are good things and bad things about playoffs.

Good:  It gives people a chance to pull off upsets.

Bad:  Fantasy playoffs always take place during the end of the NBA season when stars are being rested, some guys get shut down, young guys on tanking teams get a boost in minutes, etc... it becomes very unpredictable.

It would functionally be very similar to the tourneys I've been running manually.  It's essentially what I've been doing... I take the top 10 teams and put them in the "Top tier" tourney.  I take the bototm 10 teams and put them in the "bottom tier" tourney.     The Spring Tourneys played out like this:  http://nedyken.com/cbpl/2014-15-spring-tourneys/  ... The #9 seed Ya'll Hate won in the finals vs the #2 seed Ubuntu Ya'll.   Pitts missed out.  If we had a Top 10 playoff, Ya'll Hate would be champion right now.

I understand not everyone is a fan of those side-tourneys... but if you want playoffs, that's pretty much exactly how the playoffs would work... except some teams wouldn't be involved at all.  For instance, if you just limited it to the top 8 teams, Ya'll Hate wouldn't have even qualified.  In the Tourney, I created a wildcard round so that every team could participate... Ya'll Hate won the wildcard round and then won the entire tourney.

My reason for doing Spring AND Winter Tourneys is to counter the fact that end-of-season NBA antics make fantasy playoffs unpredictable.  Theoretically teams are going full-tilt in the Winter... so doing seasonal tourneys seems like a nice compromise... Only a couple of you guys have embraced it, though.  Unless everyone collectively decides they hate them, I'll keep doing them for as long as I'm still in the league.

2013-14 Spring Tourneys -  1st tier winner - Utah.   2nd tier winner - Disciples - http://nedyken.com/cbpl/2014-spring-tourneys/

2014-15 Winter Tourneys -  1st tier winner - Pitts.  2nd tier winner - Brahma - http://nedyken.com/cbpl/2014-15-winter-tourneys/

2014-15 Spring Tourneys -  1st tier winner - Ya'll.   2nd tier winner - #lovetotrade - http://nedyken.com/cbpl/2014-15-spring-tourneys/

Outstanding news, actually.  I'm pumped to see where he lands.  I hope Boston picks him up.

Day I knew Biz might not be a keeper: Lockout ends, training camp begins, and Rob Werdann is off in corner teaching him how to catch a ball.

This team just gave up Noah vonleh after selecting him 8th and playing him like two minutes.

They turned down 6 draft picks from Boston (including #16 and 3 other first rounders) for #9... And then passed on justice winslow to take frank Kaminsky who would more than likely have been there at 16.

It's fortunate to us ... Cuz now Boston might get the young rim protector they need. Today is a good day.

I agree the Hornets are weird. Or at least their management is

FYI:  Evan turner is very available.  I'm working on a four team trade. Turner is redundant with a piece one of the teams is getting (guard overload). Feel free to make your best turner offers. Partial to starting bigs, but all offers will be considered.

Turner: 27-30fp three years in a row.  36fp over the final month.  Three fanasy positions:  pg/sg/SF

Thanks.

In short....Michael Jordan sucks as a GM. Always has, always will. I would say it will haunt him that he passed on a package including the Nets unprotected 2016 1st for Kaminsky, but it all his other mistakes haven't phased him or taught him anything yet.
