I know this came up in another thread, but should we try to take on Lee - I can't imagine it would take very much and he was 3rd team all-nba last year. I get it, he isn't Love, but he is very good, consistent and on a two year contract.

We could then do everything possible to go after Melo (and possibly Chandler - if not, TPE for Asik, I guess).

That is assuming Klay Thompson's dad knows what he's talking about - and I do have my doubts.

That's just speculation, the Wolves are just fielding offers. Teams are putting their best package for Love. You believe that it's the best the Wolves can do, but Timberwolves may not.

depends what they want. GSW trade is more of a lateral move with no improvement for the future. Celtics trade is getting worse now, but you have a chance to draft a stud in the future

Yup. The wolves haven't made the playoffs in ten years. They don't want picks. They want to get to the playoffs and an 8th seed is fine. They have a chance to do that with this deal.

I guess the other question is: does this really make the Warriors better? They are giving up two all-star type players and another quality, young part of their rotation for a better version of Lee. I guess this comes off as totally underrating Love, but I also think people underrate Lee.

I love rooting against kobe and LeBron because 1 of em seems like a pompous a$$ and the other is a cowardice tool.

but Love never struck me as a guy that needed to be rooted against. to each his own I guess.

His dad has no reason to say what he did to cause his son unnecessary stress. Really high chance its a done deal.

No reason for gsw to wait until draft night to make this deal.
