I have gotten used to it but I also was never thought is looked cluttered when they didn't disappear.
I agree with this.

On the other hand, I think the italicized/bolded Last Edit message is beyond cluttering, and having that disappear gives the forums a tremendously cleaner look.

Usually I much prefer to have simplicity and functionality at the cost of looks, but the buttons don't seem annoy me as much as everybody else.  Even if the quote button doesn't re-appear, I still know where it is (plus the hand icon still shows up) and it functions nonetheless.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

nope, don't care for it.  while you're asking about what's good or not, I also miss the 'go to top' and 'go to bottom' buttons that the forums used to have.  one more thing that would be appreciated --> a 'reply' button at the bottom of the forum thread instead of just the one at the top.
I have reply buttons in both places. Is it a setting?
I haven't had the Reply button on the bottom since the forums format was changed.  if it's a setting, I'd appreciate any tips on how to fix it.

So what's the verdict on this? No one seems to like it and it started annoying me recently when I tried to modify a post of mine and the button wouldn't show up.

It will be going, although I can't give you a timetable.

Hey Roy, by any chance, if I double post or posted on a wrong thread, how do I delete it
