Can we safely eliminate GS from the race? Does Simmons actually "know" this? Are Chicago really more interested in Anthony than Love? So many questions.

I think so. It's not the first time we've heard this rumor, and GSW's entire offer was predicated on Thompson. The Chicago/Melo thing is a throw-away for me as I've said before. I don't think there is a chance Melo goes to Chicago. But I also don't think that Chicago is a real player for Love. They're a stalking horse here, if I grasp the phrase correctly.

If GS doesn't include Thompson, they probably can't beat the offer we're making.  If they do, they probably will.  Looks like they won't include him.  Just my read on it, nobody really knows.

Melo should call up Ainge, and Ainge can try to clear as much as cap space as possible to bring him in.

well, from all reports they wont. at least not yet...no team wants to trade all-star talent to the Wolves

Still does not rule out Denver either.   All these reports are trying to hype their favorite team as the best offer.   It is ridiculous.   I bet someone not even being discussed now emerges as well.
