If we don't land Love here's an idea that gets us into the playoffs and keeps lots of picks.
1: trade green and a loto protected pick and an expiring if necessary in an s&t to Detroit for Monroe
2: use TE and a lotto protected pick for gortat
3: trade sully and 17 or future lotto protected pick and filler to Utah for Haywood.
4: Draft Gordon
5: sign pp with mle
Resign either Bayless or Bradley

This gives us a young skilled low post threat in Monroe, paired with a good high post center in Gortat
A young defender at 3 with upside, a vet scorer and celtics legend as 6th man and a good all around 2.
Rondo, Pressey
Haywood, B or B
Gordon, Pierce
Monroe,  Oly
Gortat, hombre
 4-6 seed?
Follow up with lots of picks over the next few years.

I like it.

Gortat and Monroe with P squared back would be sweet.

Not big on Haywood but I do think he'd be a better player than Green

It's not a ba lineup although I think it's less likely than a Love senario.

There is no way Detroit trades Monroe for that little.  Come on now...Green and an unprotected first?

As for Gortat, Washington wants to resign him.  They want to win now and are better than the Celtics.  So why would they take a TPE for him?

Getting Monroe will cost you the #6 pick plus.... Heywood IMO would cost you Green and the #17 pick in a S&T especially since the Jazz have the cap room and have already stated that they would match any offer...  Gortat?  Unless you overpay Big time he is planning on resigning with Washington....

That team would be pretty good but it's not very exciting to me.  It's not a championship nucleus.  And Sully and 17 seems like an overpayment for Hayward.

Huge overpayment. I would argue that Sully a better player than Hayward anyhow, NTM the fact that Sully is younger and Hayward is a restricted FA.

You're not talking about Nerlens Noel, are you?  No way Philly makes that trade.
