Jackie MacMillan said no team wants Jeff green. So no.

Link?

Yes, please. I'd like to see this.

Edit: is Jackie McMillan the guy who always sits at the end of the bar at Sully's Tap? I think I heard him say that, but he's been saying that for years.
Jackies a woman she said it on CSNNE

I know who the great Jackie MacMullan is.

I would do the 17th and Green for the 9th if the Bobnets could fit Green with a TPE or under their salary cap.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I think to the Hornets he could be worth it. They made the playoffs, and their weakest spot is the SF.

MKG and Taylor right now are both backups. With Green they get a semi young starter, who could play the SG or the PF spot depending on need.

I don't think Jordan is looking to go fishing in the draft again, they need to get deeper into the playoffs, and young rooks wont help.

Maybe even throw in an expiring, or AB in a S&T to grab their other pick or to keep our 17th.

I'd love to see us pull off:

CHA gets: Green, #17, LAC 2015 #1

BOS gets: MKG,Brendan Haywood, #9

A boy can dream, can't he?

That's one heck of a dream. Charlotte is trading Haywood to themselves?

Can we get Spencer Haywood instead?
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

That is awesome if no team wants Green because I am happy to hold on to him if we do make a trade for Love or another star. It also makes his next contract much more affordable.

Also, I never quite understood value. Why wouldn't a team in the 20s want a guy like Green to help them compete for a championship? If you look at his draft, he was the 6th or 7th best player. I would think it would be pretty sweet to get a guy in his prime who panned out as mid-lottery value.  I understand rookie contracts and all, but for a team competing for it all, Green would be an excellent upgrade over whoever they are going to get at 20-something.
Yes and more certain on JG performing vs a bust out of the draft. Wha it would come down to is if Jordan wants to roll with Jefferson, Kemba, Green, MKG core as his playoff offering.

I don't know about that.  We don't want him to put out a mob hit on Coach Stevens.

Yes, I believe so. I think a straight swap of Jeff Green for the #9 pick is fair value. An additional mid first rounderI for Biyombo. A 2nd rounder for Gary Neal. All fair value.

Really? Sign me up for that!

If we did that maybe we can get Aaron gordon and trade the number 6 pick for love.

In how many threads are you going to post something like this?  This is at least 3....

The Celtics will only try to move Green for young prospects/picks if they don't plan on bringing in Love. If they do get Love, there is no reason whatsoever to trade Green. Say what you will about Green, but he's a solid player on a reasonable contract that plays solid defense, is good in the clubhouse, and would be excellent as a number #2 scoring option.

Green for the 9 pick?  No way is that fair to Charlotte.

I agree, in no way is it fair. If anything Green's trade value is, at best, neutral. I see him as more of a piece to make salaries work rather than some kind of trade chip.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

The trade is basically Green and the 17 for a combination of Neal, MKG, or Biyombo and the #9.  If they are looking to upgrade MKG and dont plan on re-signing Biyombo next year, they may think about it.  Adding in a pick next year may help, the Clippers pick or the Philly pick thats likely to turn into two 2nds.

Green could be the next move they need to add on to Jefferson.  They can still get a good player at 17 to help their bench.
