I'd take a hard look at Patric Young as an undrafted free agent.

I've been saying all year Patric Young should have become a TE.

Haha, he'd probably have made a good one.

But yeah, somebody tell me why Patric Young can't become a Perk without the mobility deficiencies.  He doesn't have Perk's length, but he's a lot more agile and can be a plus in the pick-and-roll or switching out on guards while still having the strength to fight post players.

I think sometimes NBA GMs get too hung up on upside.  Young isn't a young guy and doesn't have much uptapped potential, but if nothing else he should be a very good defensive player and an average rebounder.  That's worth something.

Patric Young would be an excellent camp invite. We need even stand in centers to help get through the camps and preseason.

I would invite Jordan bachynski as well. Dude can block shots. Should be good enough to fill in through the summer.

Patric Young is redundant with Joel Anthony already here.

I agree that Patric Young should be on an NBA team next season though. Just not Boston.

He's more agile than post ACL tear Perk.  I don't think he's got the mobility that young, healthy Perk had.  But Young has been the key big on a great Florida team for three years, and he's been a late second round ceiling his entire time.  It's not because he's older.  When he was younger, teams saw the same lack of upside, which is why he didn't come out early, despite being at least as dominant last year.  Can I say the exact specifics?  No.  But is it irrational by nba gm's?  Probably not.

So were there no trades in this draft? I didn't catch anything.

he made the mistake of entering the most loaded draft in decades. he could have been one of the top tier "stars" of the horrid draft last year.

Why would a guy like that not stay one more year in college and earn his degree?  It makes no sense.

I feel like internet bball fans should all band together and start a fund to buy Australian, Serbian, Brazilian and Spanish cheap, yet good quality HD camcorders so they can load decent footage up to the internet.  Seriously, the cameras are like $70 now
