So if we were to trade future Brooklyn draft picks in exchange for Love or whoever, I was wondering if we could protect them? I know they are unprotected from when they sent them to us, but I am confused as to if we could lottery, top 10, top 5 protect them for ourselves? Thanks in advance for the answer.

If the other team will agree to it.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Sure, of course the C's can add protection to either pick. But the protection would have to stipulate what pick the other team in the trade would get if they don't get the protected pick.

Would we send the other team one if our own picks, the other Brooklyn pick, a 2nd Rd pick, or nothing? Who knows what the other team would accept. My best guess would be to protect the 1st Brooklyn pick, and if it isn't conveyed the other team gets the other Brooklyn pick (unprotected).
