I disagree with you Roy, and I practice Business Litigation and Employment Law.

The Clippers will have a hard time refusing to sell him a ticket.

The only way he might be protected is if his rumored dementia is documented and cited as a medical reason for his behavior.  Even that would be a bit of a stretch, in my opinion, but I'm not an expert in disability rights when it comes to who businesses can and cannot refuse to serve.

Unfortunately, I think you're about as off-base here as you were early last month regarding Sterling's ability to successfully sue on anti-trust grounds, which were about as good as hitting a shot from three-quarters court.

And.... Sterling just started the Lawsuit back up again.

http://bigstory.ap.org/article/attorney-donald-sterling-says-no-deal-suit
Quote

"We have been instructed to prosecute the lawsuit," said attorney Maxwell Blecher. He said co-owner Donald Sterling would not be signing off on the deal to sell.

Donald Sterling issued a one-page statement dated Monday titled "The Team is not for Sale" and said that "from the onset, I did not want to sell the Los Angeles Clippers."

The $2 billion sale was negotiated by his wife Shelly Sterling after Donald Sterling's racist remarks to a girlfriend were publicized and the NBA moved to oust him as owner.

The lawsuit alleges the league violated his constitutional rights by relying on information from an "illegal" recording that publicized racist remarks he made to a girlfriend. It also said the league committed a breach of contract by fining Sterling $2.5 million and that it violated antitrust laws by trying to force a sale.

"I have decided that I must fight to protect my rights," Donald Sterling said. "While my position may not be popular, I believe that my rights to privacy and the preservation of my rights to due process should not be trampled. I love the team and have dedicated 33 years of my life to the organization. I intend to fight to keep the team."

sterling is toast - the other owners want him banned, and they'll get their wish. he runs an NBA franchise, and he's disgraced the NBA brand and alienated sponsors and fans. now the other owners are stripping him of the NBA brand, which is their right. he doesn't have a leg to stand on.

I wouldn't be surprised if the NBA tried to compromise on the fine to make him go away. He's just bad publicity at this point. OTOH, I believe he's got age-related mental issues and may well keep fighting even though he doesn't have a legal leg to stand upon. This swinging from one extreme to another is pretty indicative of confusion.

But what does his wife and the other co-owners of their trust have to say? $2Bn may just go away if Sterling keeps pushing his luck

According to the article, Sterling was under the impression that the ban/fine would be rescinded if he dropped the lawsuit. Upon being told it was mistaken, he started it up again

Coach Hobbs....Since discovery of these remarks came from an illegal wiretap does Sterling have a case in his lawsuit against the league?

Was it an illegal wiretap? Have charges been filed against anyone yet in that regard?

From my understanding it wasn't a phone conversation.

Does this mean that the value of our 2015 Clippers pick just went up?

sorry you are wrong if he walks up to the box office, he gets a ticket. All powerful NBA is not that powerful.

Try getting banned at a Casino in Vegas, then walk up the next day with your money to force your way in.

The recording certainly sounds like it was done in a home and not over a phone.

Do you have a news source for this?
