Of course you say no.  Only the celts offer matters. No other team can compete. What a joke. Where can I buy your green glasses from ?

Where did say that? It's just that Rockets offer is weak. They have no high draft picks and their prospects are not good enough.

You have to expect creativity from these gms. Rockets by themselves can give parsons, jones, trade asik and lin for a lotto pick and give their 1st. Thats a good package

And u know the rockets can care less if love will opt in.

And the Celtics will do the same thing, except it will easier to execute because they have more valuable pieces than the Rockets.

The big sticking point is getting Parsons to agree. I just don't see it. He'll have better options (Phoenix, Lakers, Hawks), and if he signs an offer sheet somewhere else, Houston can match but they couldn't trade him until December/January.

Your trade idea comes with a massive asterisk.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

Why do the rockets have to wait?? Just sign him to a 4 year 36 million dollar deal  asap.

He will likely not deny such offer.  He is not a 10 million dollar a yr player. Not yet anyways

I think the point is that Houston will move Asik and Lin to open cap space to sign a star, and then resolve Parsons' RFA status.

Signing Parsons first kills a chance at landing that star.

This news might increase the chances of Asik landing in Boston.

Not necessarily.  You need parsons contract to get a melo. He will likely want max and the knicks clearly wont mind getting compensated for losing him

Whatever the case is, 6th and sully offer is not looking like the best possible offer anymore. GSW will also get involved in all of this I predict. Lee, Barnes, Green, Thompson for love would be a great return for the wolves.

Gsw look good also with curry, love, iguadala and bogut.

Teams like gsw and rockets have to act bc they cant get anywhere at their current state.

I think he gets $10m per pretty easily. He scored 16.6ppg on 47% from the field and 37% from three point range. Add in 5.5 rebounds and 4 assists per game. Given how many teams with cap need help on the wing, his market should he pretty interesting.

No, we have a better offer. Teams value a high lottery pick more than OK role players, because that lottery pick has more potential.

This trade gives the Wolves a trio of decent role players, but does not help with their rebuild.

So why aren't we unwilling to give up the 6th if it's so highly valuable?

To us is of no value, but for the Wolves its of great value?

It's valuable, that's why the Wolves wouldn't even discuss a trade with us if the #6 is not included. And who said it is of no value for us? We are simply using it to get Kevin Love.

Exactly.

To Rockets: Love
To Pelicans: Asik
To Wolves: Terrence Jones, Ryan Anderson, Chandler Parsons (resigned)
This would be a nice return for the Wolves.  Better than the 6th pick and  Sullinger the Celtics can offer
Wolves get screwed big time.

Houston giggles hysterically getting love for Parsons and Jones.

NO -- reaction would depend on where they want to play Davis.  if they want him at PF, Asik makes a better fit than Anderson but that team really needs some front court scoring besides Davis.

#6, Sully and 3rd prime asset (whether AB S&T or another 1st rounder) would be a far better deal for Minnie

Ryan Anderson is a boderline all star.  He is a top 3 point shooter in this league. Better than Love. He is going to be back to full health for next season

Parsons is an up and coming SF and Terrence Jones is a better athlete and defender than Love.

All of these guys combined would surpass what would alone could provide.  This would be a steal for the Wolves imo

Huh?

Anderson is not even close to what Love brings to the table. And I think Anderson is fairly under rated he does great things for teams. But a borderline all star at 16 and 6? I'm not so sure. He's great at stretching the floor. Shoots around 38% from three but only 43% when inside the 3 line.

Parson is up and coming yes, and actually puts up slightly better overall numbers than Anderson both both guys are third or fourth options at best.

And sure Terrence Jones is a good athlete, he had a good year, but is his potential anything more than a back side of the rotation guy? No.

A team that is in the luxury tax, like the Knicks, is unable to acquire other teams' players via sign and trade. They could sign and trade their own FAs (Melo, if he opts out), however.
