To Rockets: Love
To Pelicans: Asik
To Wolves: Terrence Jones, Ryan Anderson, Chandler Parsons (resigned)

This would be a nice return for the Wolves.  Better than the 6th pick and  Sullinger the Celtics can offer

No, we have a better offer. Teams value a high lottery pick more than OK role players, because that lottery pick has more potential.

This trade gives the Wolves a trio of decent role players, but does not help with their rebuild.

I don't think the Celts are just giving up the 6th and Sully. I bet at least one more first round, maybe a second, and some expirings.

The TWolves are going to scrap it if they loose Love. Picks, expirings, and a young asset is how you start that off.  They're not going to want to make players that could help them win games, and thats what this trade does.

So why are we willing to give up the 6th if it's so highly valuable?

To us is of no value, but for the Wolves its of great value?

It's valuable, that's why the Wolves wouldn't even discuss a trade with us if the #6 is not included. And who said it is of no value for us? We are simply using it to get Kevin Love.

Wolves get screwed big time.

Houston giggles hysterically getting love for Parsons and Jones.

NO -- reaction would depend on where they want to play Davis.  if they want him at PF, Asik makes a better fit than Anderson but that team really needs some front court scoring besides Davis.

#6, Sully and 3rd prime asset (whether AB S&T or another 1st rounder) would be a far better deal for Minnie

Ryan Anderson is a boderline all star.  He is a top 3 point shooter in this league. Better than Love. He is going to be back to full health for next season

Parsons is an up and coming SF and Terrence Jones is a better athlete and defender than Love.

All of these guys combined would surpass what would alone could provide.  This would be a steal for the Wolves imo

... and they would be stuck in mediocrity. This trade doesn't move a needle in either direction for the Wolves. I'm going to take a wild guess and say Minnesota is trying to get a stockpile of draft picks and young assets off this Love trade, stink it up next year, and hope for a high lottery pick. Not trade Love for a bunch of role players and be a 38-42 win team for the next 5-7 years.

Do you actually think you could derail a Love-to-Boston deal with posts like this?

Anderson is not Love, not even close.  picking one stat he's better at than Love is grasping at straws to try to make a point.
Parsons is an ok SF.  Pure speculation that he becomes close to all-star quality.  Jones, so what if he's athletic.  Kedrick Brown was athletic.  Gerald Green was athletic.  need more than athleticism to get excited about a player.

Sully is developing where he could put up 80% of the points and rebounds of Love.  Add in a #6 where Minnie could use it to snag another top prospect, Smart perhaps since he figures to be better than Rubio or Gordon who could be the SF they've been looking for.  Minny could also flip that pick into a slightly lower pick and pick up a prospect or future pick.

if they take AB or the #17 they're looking at adding a borderline starter or 6th man type of player.

2 solid young starters and a 6th man plus salary relief is better than 3 role players.

I don't know which is funnier...thinking that's a good deal for Minny or thinking posting the idea here will start some groundswell of support for it.

If love was not involved,  would the 6 and sullinger, future 1st be a fair trade for jones, parsons(signed) and anderson?

Of course you say no.  Only the celts offer matters. No other team can compete. What a joke. Where can I buy your green glasses from ?
