There's absolutely no way New York takes on Wallace as they plan on being major players next summer in free agency when they will literally not have a single contract on the books (besides maybe Melo himself). They're not looking to build through the draft, especially with Phil Jackson at the helm.

We would get Melo through Dwight Howarding the Knicks.

Sign and Trade Jeff Green, Humphries, a couple of future firsts for Melo. Got to get Love first then Melo will come.

Wow, we have a believer!

Is it true that "Anything's posssibbbllleee....!"

I don't think anyone is suggesting it is likely or even realistic, just possible.

Can you explain what "Dwight Howarding the Knicks" means?

I second Celts17Pride.  I believe if we get Love, we'll get Melo

We have believer #2.  The ranks are growing.

I think getting Love is starting to sound pretty realistic.  Melo?  I don't have my head wrapped around that just yet.  A sell off and massive rebuild does not sound like Phil's style by maybe Melo will leave him no choice.

When Dwight Howard was a free agent he left the Lakers and his Bird Rights to sign with the Rockets. I'm suggesting that that is the only way the Celtics land Melo, by signing him through free agency and leaving the Knicks high and dry.

If we get Melo AND Love expect to have 105-116 games every night.

There will be little defense. That melo money could be used on a defender.

I'm not even against it at this point, but I don't know how we get Love through trade or free agency, unless NY takes a sign and trade deal involving Green.

We don't have the cap room to get Melo outright, I don't think. Especially not if we add Asik or Sanders. We'll need a S&T option next summer.

This is a bit off topic but Kevin Love has a name that is so easy to play off of fans watches the game.  I can't wait for those threads lol.  Melo too.

- Wallace, Bass, Bogans, Sullinger + draft picks for Love and Martin.

- Jeff Green, Anthony to Utah for a conditional 2nd rounder.

- Renounce all bird rights and non guaranteed.

Asik ($14) absorb
Love ($14)
Anthony ($17) free agency signing
Martin ($6)
Rondo ($13)

Olynk ($2)

That team is instantly the 2nd best in the east and competing for a title.

That's an awesome NBA 2K team but in real life they'd give up about 120 points per game.   I'm fine with Martin coming off the bench but we would need a better defender at the 2

Oh yeah, we'd have final scores reading 135-120 on a nightly basis, but we'd be on the winning end of at least 55 of them.

An Avery Bradley combo type would be huge for that dream squad though. I agree.

Exactly yet people continue to include him in trades like he's an asset.  He's a liability in terms of trade value not an asset...
