Hope Greg Robinson makes it big. Guy has a pretty darn sad story.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
They keep mentioning the Vincent Jackson - Mike Evans combo.

That's actually kind of terrifying, assuming Mike Evans pans out.

The Pats spent their #1 on a guy with two ACL injuries?

He sounds like a good fit position and talent wise, but the injury concerns have to be off the charts.

Really, really disruptive when he's on the field though.  I watch SEC football quite a bit, and I've seen more than I'd like to see of Easley (Vols fan).  It's definitely a gamble, but the potential reward is very high if they can keep him healthy.

0/3.... Oh well.
:)

Today's predictions:

(1) Houston DOES NOT take a QB with the first pick of round #2

(2) The Pats go with offensive line in round 2 (not a big shocker, given it was DL in Rd 1)

While it's neither here nor there regarding his play/health, he's also a pretty good dude.

well, the Pats can really use some 'character' guys on that roster after the past couple of years.  As someone who's not a Pats fan but has a lot of respect for their player evaluations, I would have to believe they put this kid through his paces in medical evals and have to have a pretty high comfort level he's going to be just fine.

As a Redskins fan, I have to just shake my head in disgust watching my team with the second worst record not have the second pick in this draft.  there's no surefire all-pro at that spot but the team needs a major talent infusion that doesn't cost the arm-and-a-leg salaries they've been paying in free agency for poor play.

I agree with that.  Derek Carr is the best QB available, but that wouldn't be a good fit for anybody.

I know Texan fans would have loved Bridgewater with the 1st pick of the second round. Vikings ripped their hearts out by trading up to get him.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

I don't know if any of these QBs are going to pan out well as starters.  Just not enamored with any of them.  Bortles at #3? Yikes.

Manziel is fun as heck to watch but I'm not sure he can establish himself as a bonafide starter over the long-term in the NFL.

I actually think Bridgewater is probably the best QB here and I don't even know he'll be that good of a pro.  The whole Pro Day debacle was ridiculously overblown, IMO.

5-10 years from now, I just don't really think people will look back at the 2014 draft as one of those great drafts not just for QBs but for all the talent here.

I think you're probably on the money with that assessment.  no one jumped out at me as a foundation-quality player for a team
