I like Napier. If we pick up a 2nd rounder in a trade, he'd be a good guy to get.

I also like Dwight Powell out of Stanford as a second round guy.

He just strikes me as someone who is going to be successful and will find a way to contribute at the next level. 4 year player, smart, lots of the right physical attributes .. . needs to get stronger, overall solid upside.

He is 6'1. That is an ok height for a pg. He can shoot better than alot of pgs

I would not be happy if we drafted Shabazz at 17. If we can draft him I hope it is with a purchased second round pick.

He cemented to be chosen in the 1st round after that performance

I will bet you an entire shiny TP on this.

I wouldn't waste a 17 pick on a short guard for a team that has no center.  If it is not Smart or Exum then I'm totally uninterested in guards .  Bayless and AB are decent .

rather trade up a few picks to get Stauskas.   ....... He could be an interesting player.

I like napier but isn't he a PG? and isn't he real short?

I can't stand a 2 PG back court, it accomplishes nothing.

just looked up his height and no thanks. even for a PG he's short, i'd rather just stick with pressey.

as a back up PG i'd take him but I never want to see him play SG. waste of time for everyone.

The Knicks went to 54 wins largely on the back of a 2 Point backcourt. Denver had recent success with that kind of lineup too.

winning a lot of games is great but i'm talking about winning championships. for the most par it means you're lacking in a quality SG.

I just don't believe in playing guys out of position because you're lacking somewhere else. it's like playing to break even. which is losing imo.

I'd say that given the small sample size of championship winners contrasted against the changing rules and defensive/offensive strategies through the eras of the NBA, it's hard to say one way or another what makes one team NBA Champions and another not.

Otherworldly talent seems to be the biggest constant when it comes to getting rings, not a quality shooting guard.

Napier has the type of game/confidence ainge likes. He has a similar game/profile to trey burke. No shock to me if danny picks him at 17 even

I don't think Shabazz is half the passer Burke is but I believe he is a much better shooter.

I personally thing he will be similar to his predecessor, Kemba Walker or maybe Jerryd Bayless.

Napier is an improved passer. Better than bayless . Burke and napier are both very good shooters.

Question: Is Shabazz Napier better than Patty Mills?

That's what you have to ask yourself. Answer's "No."

Trey Burke shot 38% from the field this season, that's not very good.

Patty Mills: Australian Olympic Team edition is one of my favorite players in Global Basketball.

Napier has a higher upside. Mills is good. He got really good under pops. Many ordinary  players do

I love this kid. Reminds me a little of Alan Iverson, although obviously not in the same class.  Would love to work out a late first round pick and swoop him up. I think it would be a steal.  He is way undervalued because of his age, and maybe his height.   He has PG ball handling skills.

Maybe trade the 17th pick down about 10 slots and pick up a 2nd round pick in the process. Someone really decent (maybe a project) is going to be around in the 2nd round.

I got goose bumps when on national TV he professed his love for the Celtics. What a great story that would be, kid from Mission Hill projects on the Celtics.

I think his ceiling could be a poor man's Tony Parker.  Very pesky on defense though his ability to penetrate and dish/finish would need to be greatly improved.  Can stick the three from anywhere.
