I have been all about Wiggins, Parker, and Embid.   I am on paper as wanting the Celtics to lose as much as possible to have the best chance to draft one of those players.

The problem is, once we draft one of the big three, the building is only just getting started.  For championship teams, you need veterans.  You need clutch players.  Young guys just don't have what it takes to carry a team to the title.

Look at the recent winners (Bulls, Lakers, Heat, Mavs, Celtics, Spurs). They all had those clutch players with proven crunch time success.

The great thing about our situation is that we have so many assets to get the pick AND to get the 2 proven vets.  We have handfuls of 1st rounders to trade for guys like Bosh, Love, Gasol, etc.  (Please don't rip me apart for those examples;  I'm sure you have better choices, let me know who would work)

We can also trade for three point specialists like Reddick who you gotta have these days.

And the icing on the cake?  The Truth.  Tell me he wouldn't want to rejoin a stacked Celtics team.

DA will probably use a combo of some young studs (KO, sully, maybe a guy this year??) and vets via trades using picks and players.  he will put it all together. may take 3 or 4 years though.
LET'S GO CELTICS!
