I know all these guys will probably not be on the board at # 17 or 18, but who do you choose if you have a choice of any of these guys .  What order do you put them in ?

Looks like we can land one of them

My order.....

1) Hood
2) Stauskus
3) TJ Warren
4) Harris
5) McDermott
6) Young
7) Early

Parker and Hood would be an amazing draft , but I would be happy with any of the top 4 (Wiggins,Parker,Embiid,Exum) along with  one of the top 5 on this list at # 18.

McDermott is definitely the best of the bunch, in my opinion, followed by Stauskas.

I doubt either will be available at #17/18.

I'd go with Harris, Warren, or Young, in that order.

....Parker and Hood would be an amazing draft ......

Are you a Dukie?  ;) (And that is not said disparagingly, just good-naturedly).

TP for your interesting post.

In answer to your question, though, my order would be:

1.McDermott- not a huge fan, but at 18 you gotta take him.
2. Stauskas
3. Anderson (he's a 6'8" Ennis who is a better shooter and rebounder with a 7'3" wingspan)
4. Young (huge upside)
5. (tie) Harris (AB 2.0, better finisher) (young for his class)
5 (tie). Hood (he can flat out score, don't care about the short arms crap)
5 (tie). Warren (ditto)
7. Early (not a fan)

Don't think Harris will be available at 17/18.  I would take Young.  Good shooter, and showed he can finish in that finals game.  I worry about Stauskus on the defensive end. Ditto McDermott.

I'd draft Hairston if we get a top 3 pick.

Rondo
Hairston
Green
Sully
Embiid

OR

Rondo
Hairston
Wiggins
Sully
Asik (Trade Green)

If we get #4, I'd choose Hood at 18.

Rondo
Exum at #4
Hood
Sully
Asik (trade Green)

If we get #5, #6, or #7, I'd choose James Young if available, Harris next, Stauskas or Anderson last.

Rondo
Young/Harris/Stauskas/Anderson
Green
Sully
Vonleh at 5, 6, or 7.

Disclaimer: not a draft expert.

But I'm under the impression Gary Harris is a pretty darn good pick. Like lottery pick good.

My impression is he's O.J. Mayo done right. (But then again I've only watched the draftexpress video and read a bunch of articles...with all the time I've spent reading I should probably have watched a game...)

Wouldn't you just automatically draft him if he's available by our second pick?

I'm hoping TJ Warren is still on board with our second pick.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

If James Young is still there at 18 I'd take him in a second.  I've mentioned elsewhere that it wouldn't surprise me at all if he ends up the best NBA player of that entire Kentucky lot.

I'm hoping Ainge trades up for McDermott...just like he did for K.O.

I Say we get lucky and draft Embiid & McDermott.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Depends on what we did with our first pick.

Hood and Stauskas really impress me with their offense.  But their defense and strength is both highly questionable according to scouts.

It might be better to invest in some 'bullies' on defense such as Capela or Jeremi Grant and hope they develop better offensive games in the future.

Your version of lucky must be different than mine.   If Embiid back checks out then great, take him otherwise he could be Greg Oden.  I would not touch McDermott he struggles against Baylor's length and athletic ability and all pro teams have even better athletes and tall guys.   I think he is going to be a specialist if he makes it in the league but he could easily go the route of Adam Morrison, another great college player who could not get a shot off in the pros.   Not that these guys are failures to even make it to the pros is big time greatness.

I voted for Stauskas, but would also be happy with Harris, McDermott, Warren, or Young.

I believe Oden was red flagged before he was drafted.

Embiid just has nagging injuries.

How can ANYONE question Hood's defense?  They obviously have NOT watched many Duke games (which is hard to believe), as Coach K regularly put Hood of the opposing team's top scorers!!!
