Minor stomach punch.
I only saw on the first one. What happened with the 17th/18th pick?

We won that one per Washburn.

Losing the coin flip is good karma guys, it's more likely we end up top 3 now :D

Celtics won the 17th pick (From Brooklyn):

@BrooklynNets won the 17/18 tiebreaker. @Celtics get that pick over Washington (who owes it to @Suns )

Well, better than nothing I guess.  And we'll be happy with the 5 spot's combinations if we wind up moving up anyway.

No way!!  Maybe this means we'll have better luck on May 20th.
Waddup?

Darn this means that we will save all our Irish luck till the 20th of May. Right!? :(

And now the month + long wait commences.....

Paralysis by overanalysis, opinions, and 45 rehashes of the same ideas leading into the draft..   :P  ;)

If we had one less of your pride wins we wouldn't be in this situation :P

Screw that.  We didn't come this far in our tank job to get the 4th or 5th pick.  We are going all out for #1.  This coin flip only impacted that 1 in 1001, so don't sweat it.  Go C's!!!!

No way this is just random we came out like bandits with 2 first rounders so they stick it to us at 5 and give us the later toss up

We actually won the flip that matters ... 17 over 18.  There's no lottery involved in those picks, so you can put that in the bank.  Go C's!

It doesn't seem fair.  We didn't even get to bring Lucky or Heinsohn or Chris Herren or Walter McCarty or Sherm Douglas or Abby Chin or . . . me . . . to watch over the proceeding and add some good fortune.

Booo!!!!

The positive spin: we won the coin flip that guaranteed a higher pick, we just lost the one that affects the probability of getting one.

There's not enough  ::) on Earth for this.

Still sucks tho if neither us or Utah gets in the top three. Means we could now finish at 8th instead of 7th if the worst happens.

Bummer - I have to assume that either Utah or us will move into the top 3, so hopefully it doesn't matter in the end (unless it's that one combination that screws us).

I am happy about the 2nd coinflip - this one legitimately moves us up a spot where the other is pretty unlikely to have an effect. I am a little confused there actually is one, though. Doesn't Was already gain an advantage by winning the tie breaker? If there is a clear distinction in playoff seedings, why do they bother for the purpose of the draft?
