Trade our PP TE to Houston for a couple future seconds.

Draft Night:

Boston sends: Rondo, Sullinger, 18th pick
Boston gets: Parsons, Noel, Lin, Asik

Houston sends: Parsons, Jones, Lin, Asik
Houston gets: Rondo, Thad Young (BOS Trade Exception)

Sixers send: Noel, Thad Young
Sixers get: Sullinger, Jones, 18th pick from Boston (they would draft Embiid in this scenario)

We draft Exum. Then maybe move JG maybe not. We could have all types of lineups with this roster. We could also bring Noel along slowly with Asik in place. Then next year Lin, Asik, Bass, Anthony deals all expire and we have a boatload of money to add FAs to the core of Exum, Noel, KO, and Parsons hopefully we extend parsons. Still would love to get rid of wallace somehow.

I was thinking a trade of JG, Bass, Bogans to NYK for staudamire expiring and shumpert.

I think the Sixers are extremely happy, the Rockets are extremely unhappy, and the Celtics are dumbly scratching their heads wondering what just happened.

What if I told you that Terrence Jones might be the most valuable asset in this trade?

You can't trade a trade exception, unfortunately.

Any deal the Celtics make on Draft Night will need to finish with the Celtics below the tax threshold. Put differently, the Celtics basically need to send out more than they take back in salary.

I'm not sure why Philly does this deal, to be honest. Giving up on Noel already, and losing Thad Young, to get Sullinger, Jones, and the 18th pick?
