should we trade for gordon hayward for maybe jeff green or gerald wallace + fillers and 2 2nd round or 1 1st round pick

+utah adds kanter or gobert? win win for both?
or gerald wallace for eric gordon
or goran dragic + picks, as our SG with bradley and bayless?
pg rondo/dragic/bradley
sg bayless/dragic/bradley

what do you think?

Any of those moves is just playin around the edges, not "fireworks" as promised by Wyc. What's the fascination with Hayward anyway?  Dragic is just a journeyman backup guard, IMO.

Isn't Hayward a 16-5-5 guy this season? Dragic is playing way better than a journeyman guard also so Don't hate. This is not to say I'm in the we gotta trade for these guys or else boat, but still, they are having very good seasons.

Well Gordon would be a terrible pickup.  He's injured and owed alot of money.
The Suns aren't going to trade Dragic unless they get a really good return.  The Jazz have already said they are matching any deal for Hayward and since he's an RFA that's what they will do...

Player A: 20.9 PPG, 5.6 APG, .8 SPG, 43/39/87 FG/3P/FT %, 18.85 PER
Player B: 19.6 PPG, 8.7 APG, 1.8 SPG, 43/35/81 FG/3P/FT %, 19.67 PER
Player C: 20.9 PPG, 6.1 APG, 1.5 SPG, 43/36/86 FG/3P/FT %, 20.13 PER
Player D: 20.4 PPG, 5.9 APG, 1.3 SPG, 51/42/76 FG/3P/FT %, 21.52 PER

Player A is Damian Lillard.  Player B is John Wall.  Player C is Kyrie Irving.  Player D is Goran Dragic.  Still think he's a "journeyman backup guard"? I don't even think the C's should trade for him because he wouldn't fit well with Rondo, but saying  Dragic is anything less than All-Star caliber is just asinine and there's not a chance we could get him for Gerald Wallace

I love Dragic and the way he plays the game. Everything about him says, 'winner.' If there we could someway / somehow find a way to acquire Dragic, I would be pretty psyched. Unfortunately, it would probably require us giving up Rondo. While he could obviously fill the void at pg, I also would really like to see the two of them play together. There is also no real reason for either team to trade one for the other.

Not impressed.  First time in 7 seasons he's had numbers like that. He's a journeyman plain and simple.  I don't think that is exactly asinine.

A) Dragic's only spent 6 seasons in the NBA -- he was drafted in '09 -- not 7 . :P

B) Context is important -- his first 2.5 seasons in the league, he was playing behind Steve Nash. Once he was sent to Houston, he was behind/timesharing with Kyle Lowry. Last year, in Phoenix, when he was the undisputed starting PG (as in he cracked 30 MPG for the first time in his career), he put up 14-7-3... on a really bad Suns team.
http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/PHO/2013.html

C) Now he had to timeshare with Eric Bledsoe (when Bledsoe's been healthy), but he's putting up the stats that Celticsfan8591 pulled up. He's also gotten better every year he's been in the league.

I'm a big fan of your posts, SD, but I think you're giving Dragic a bit of a short shift.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Dragic has great career numbers--averaging out to 17/4/7 per 36, career .116 win share per 48, .562 TS%,  .505 from the 2 and .366 from the 3.
