I know Kemba is not playing, but this Charlotte team is pretty bad. Remarkable how inept MJ has been in building a team.

With Utah, LA and Orlando all likely losing tonight, we really can't afford to win this game.

I guess Rondo is the only Celtic that is in on the tank. These fools are actually trying to win this game.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

On the radio today, Tony Maz called this a "must lose" game.

I think Avery on a team where his role goes back to being a hustle, defensive role-player may be a very valuable guy for the C's in a couple of years.   I am guessing that Stevens is encouraging the on-court behavior you are seeing out of AB.  I think he wants to see what AB can do if playing aggressively on offense.   I do think Avery has potential to be a very effective two-way player, but he does make a lot of mistakes with the ball at present.
But in fairness, between injuries (self and Rondo) and changing team dynamics, AB hasn't had a consistent role.  And he's still very young (6 months older than KO).

Agreed.  I think he is best served as a 1st or 2nd guard off the bench where his main attributes would be smothering D and hustle baskets.  Think back to his role late in the 11-12 season.  If we can get him at a decent price he would be a great asset off the bench.
