Which one would you choose.  I'll take the easy one and watch Bird take down Magic.  I just saw Drake at the Clippers game that guy is everywhere and tries to get into every locker room he can at the final four in Kentucky's locker room post game. I was thinking although Durant and Paul are fun to watch. It's just not even close as to the heavy weight war's of the Magic and Bird led teams.
Where oh where did the pinnacle of basketball go. It's just not the same. Drake doesn't know the difference though, He said Randle was the Best since Chris Webber.

Taking the emotion of teams I root for out of the equation, I'd probably go in order something like:

1. Miracle on Ice
2. Game 7, 1991 World Series
3. Superbowl III
4. Olympic Gold Medal Game - Men's Basketball July 5, 1992 (just to see the Dream Team)
5. Ohio State v. Miami January 3, 2003 Fiesta Bowl/National championship (granted I am an Ohio State fan, but a double OT thriller with a controversial penalty for all the marbles has to rate up there as one of the best college games of the last 40 years even for non-Buckeye fans - USC/Texas would also be high on that list)

After that I'm not sure.  I would have loved to have seen Phelps win his 8th Gold Medal of the Beijing games by a hair.  Seeing Usain Bolt crush the field to dominate the 100 meter dash.  There have been any number of great World Cup soccer games over the years (same with Superbowls, I chose Superbowl III because of the massive historical impact though I'm sure there were better games).
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

1. Wilt's 100 pt game
2. Jordan's "the shot" vs Utah
3. Any of the Olympic Basketball game during the 1992 dream team
4. Any of the games of the NY vs Indiana series in the 90s

With Miracle on Ice being the clear #1, here are some other events of the past 40 years I would loved to have been at:

-Hagler/Hearns
-Game 6 '86 ALCS
-BC/Miami '84 (Flutie game)
-BC/ND '93 (David Gordon kick)
-Super Bowl XXXVI
-Super Bowl XXIII
-Any Original Dream Team game
-Game 5 '04 ALCS (I was at the Dave Roberts game, though)
-'90 NFC Championship (NYG-SF)
-Duke/Kentucky (Laettner game)
-'81 ECF Game 7 (Sixers/Celtics)
-'75 World Series Game 6

I know I'm leaving a ton off too.

lot's of great suggestions.  a couple I'd add:
- Bird/Dominique battle in '88 playoffs
- Celtic clincher over the Lakers for the 84 title

1. 1988 Game 7 Conference Semis- The Bird -Wilkins 4th quarter shootout...I remember watching that on a black & white TV at our camp as a kid and wishing I could have seen it in person so bad..Just an amazing duel, I still think the best individual basketball duel ever....

2.  1990 NCCA Championship Rebels beat Duke- I am die-hard Rebels fan would have loved to see that in person

3. 2008 Championship clinching game

4. The Larry Steal game against the Pistons

5. The Celts vs Nets Comeback game in 2002

A winner is someone who recognizes his God-given talents, works his tail off to develop them into skills, and uses these skills to accomplish his goals.

Push yourself again and again. Don't give an inch until the final buzzer sounds.

Game 4 of the 2004 World Series. Probably the most epic moment in recent Boston sports history. No it wasn't a special game with special historic plays, but it was the end of the Curse and the end of 86 years of suffering for Red Sox fans. I probably would have been a blubbering idiot by the end but I would have been there to celebrate with my team.

2002 Superbowl. First Patriots Superbowl win and one of the most dramatic wins in Superbowl history. Decades of New England football fans finally coming to a close

BC/Miami 1984 - the Hail Flutie Miracle is still to this day, the absolute best college football game I have ever seen. Wished I was there to see it in person.

I'm not a boxing fan anymore -- but it would have been amazing to have been at this fight.

The rumble in the jungle would have been great too if transported there just for the fight.
