Ecstatic that Markieff Morris fell to me.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

Wow, can't believe one player is still on the board. Really hoping he continues to fall.
there's one that really stands out to me.  curious if he's the guy you'll be taking with your pick
Morris was not the guy I thought you were referring to.

turns out AB is the one that snagged my guy JJ

I would say Morris is the front runner for 6th man of the year. Having a great season for the Suns.

He's definitely had a brilliant year and will get a few votes here and there for the 6th man of the year, but to call him the frontrunner seems a bit egregious. I can't really say anything about him that sets him far apart from Jamal Crawford or Reggie Jackson, who are both more obvious choices for me. However, as far as draft position goes, Markieff was definitely a solid addition at this point in the draft.

Jackson has started a chunk of games in place of Russ so you would have to take that into consideration. That might have helped out his stats a bit. Crawford, he's in the conversation every year, so I'll give you that.

Darn. I thought Chris Andersen would last another round or two. He's a guy who often slips in these drafts for some unknown reason. Nice pick.

I'd recommend against any superlatives. The thing that sets Pick 2 apart, and that keeps it "chill", is that there's no competition at all. I would hate to see that change. People can discuss their teams and their favorites, but I don't think there should be a "winner" or a "best".
That is just because it is clear that my team is a dynasty a couple of seasons down the road.  No one will touch me when my guys all hit their prime (aside from Dirk of course whose prime ship sailed a few seasons back).
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

REMINDER

Tomorrow there are TWO rounds of drafting. That means that the majority of you will have two picks to make instead of one (unless you made a trade).

Check the pick times post (below) for when your picks are due, and don't be late!

I was leary as to whether it was too early for him or not but I wanted him so I went for it. The props make me feel better about the decision. TP.

Paul Pierce still got it. Completely destroyed Lebron tonight.

OJ Mayo is a really nice pickup this late in the draft.

I think OJ Mayo is a really nice pickup this late in the draft.

Not a Mayo fan, but at this point in the draft, that's a good pick.

Thank you!

Mayo with the Bucks is a disaster. I think it's proven that he can never be the number 1 option. But if you put him in a system where he's not the focal point of the offense, a la Dallas, he will do some damage.
