Afflalo is the pick that just seems strange to me.  Can't quite figure that one out.

I could see why Boston picked him. SG position is very thin and Affalo is probably one of the best two-way SG there is.

Yup, wanted a guy next to Rondo who could shoot 3s, defend, be a secondary playmaker, and create his own shot when needed.  Afflalo fits the bill better than anyone left.

47%/44%/82% with 3.6 assists a game, and just entering his prime.  And just one season away from the Derek Harper (improved PPG in each of first 8 seasons).

Had Afflalo high on my list as well for no other reason than SG is pretty thin in the league today and he's one of the few available that are a good pickup if surrounded by other good players.  There's other decent ones out there but Wade, Klay and Afflalo were pretty much the top of the list at SG

Afflalo would be a great player for the Celtics in real life and would be a player I'd want Danny to target. (The reason I pushed so hard to get him in the DKC).

Who's going to score inside against New Orleans?
nobody
Demarcus Cousins.  Just like he has done all season long against Anthony Davis and Deandre Jordan.

Cousins v. Davis - DMC 21.7/12.3 & Davis 16.7/7 (DMC even is out shot blocking Davis in the match-up)

Cousins v. Jordan - DMC 24/12.7 & Jordan 11.7/11.7

Not worried at all.  Especially since neither Jordan nor Davis can guard Dirk on the wing at all.
Those stats really surprise me..

how did Sully take DMC to town so easily?

Cousins talent is undeniable, but his monster stat lines seem somewhat empty to me.

He puts up monster numbers but his team remains nearly 20 games below .500.

I have to imagine though Dirk is a significant upgrade to Jason Thompsan lol.
*CB Miami Heat*
Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

Also looking to move up into the second. Offering my third and fourth for, say, second and sixth.

I have the same feeling about Kevin Love, though his stats and teams have been a little better at least.

The Pelicans are only 2.5 games than the Kings and they have Davis, Gordon, and a bunch of other talented players (who haven't been picked yet so I won't name them).  The West is very deep this year.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Still looking for someone to leave a list with. My pick is at 230.

If nobody else steps up send it to me.

I'll step out of class and make your pick for you or just tell my teacher "Hold on, this is the CelticsBlog Pick 2 draft!"

I can't pick cause I have a class as well haha. I don't want to pull you out of class though.

just got home from class...

send me your list, I'll be on

  • Derrick Rose is year-to-year
Went bold in grabbing Horford even though he's hurt. Feel like he'd do a better job at David lee's role on the warriors then lee does
