  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
it kind of makes me sick to have all three heatles but want to see what i can put around them

It's great that you dont have to worry about the cap though?  I mean if we have the cap, you'd be way up there already.

Great trade.

Interesting to see cp07 going for the big three in Miami. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Yeah, I see why he would do it. Whoever has Lebron already has an enormous advantage anyways.

I'd get bored though. I like to tinker and build too much. I'd be an awful RL GM lol
*CB Miami Heat*

Whoever is picking next, I would love to trade up. If not, can I leave a list with somebody?

The Danny Ainge Fantasy Campers select Arron Afflalo.

First pick that's legitimately frustrated me.

Thoughts on Afflalo?  Some more highly regarded guys out there but he's the best 2-way player at the league's shallowest position.

Dirk is still a top ten player in the NBA and by far the best player still available.  I was very surprised to see Dallas not picked in the team round.
Plus he is the perfect compliment to Demarcus Cousins.  I have the inside/outside game perfected with this lineup.  Plus, Dirk still has the ability to take over a game, especially in crunch time, that the Kings will need (as well as the steely veteran leadership that Cousins and Thomas being so young don't quite have yet).  Very happy Dirk was there for me.  I really like how my team is shaping up.  I now have the 6th, 8th, and 20th best PER's on the year for my first three.  No one else can even come close to that.

Alongside Cousins that's a great duo.

Offensively it would be a beauty to watch but I worry a bit about defense.

Dirk is savvy but not a very good defender and Cousins isn't exactly the defensive anchor I would want next to Dirk.
fair point, but with Ibaka gone there aren't many top tier defensive PF's left.  There also aren't going to be many (if any at all) duo's that will even pose real problems for Dirk & DMC on either end of the floor.

Meh, disagree on both accounts I guess.

I think there's still a handful of solid defensive bigs. Maybe less flashy names though.

Also a little too early to say there's no duos that will give you problems defensively.
Possibly, but when you start actually looking at Cousins, especially this year, you find he has gotten the better of virtually every matchup.  Even against Howard, Cousins won 2, lost 1, and the other game Cousins played less than 10 minutes (the 3 games were clear wins for the guy that won).  2 games between Cousins and Bogut, Cousins won both.  Cousins and Noah, Cousins dominated him in their only match-up this year.  Cousins and Marc Gasol split.

I can say that no duo will give Cousins and Nowtizki problems because no center has effectively shut down Cousins and that is without a bona fide big time PF playing next to him to take some of the focus away from him.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson

Sucks man, though I must say I'm glad you did since I got Dirk and Ibaka was off the board.  I had Dirk 1, Ibaka 2, and Wade 3 coming into the day.  Was glad I got Dirk.

No, but the guy after you can wait until 1:15 if he wants, and so on.
