Dirk is still a top ten player in the NBA and by far the best player still available.  I was very surprised to see Dallas not picked in the team round.
Plus he is the perfect compliment to Demarcus Cousins.  I have the inside/outside game perfected with this lineup.  Plus, Dirk still has the ability to take over a game, especially in crunch time, that the Kings will need (as well as the steely veteran leadership that Cousins and Thomas being so young don't quite have yet).  Very happy Dirk was there for me.  I really like how my team is shaping up.  I now have the 6th, 8th, and 20th best PER's on the year for my first three.  No one else can even come close to that.

Alongside Cousins that's a great duo.

I'd be willing to move down from 1.6. PM offers if interested.

Offensively it would be a beauty to watch but I worry a bit about defense.

Dirk is savvy but not a very good defender and Cousins isn't exactly the defensive anchor I would want next to Dirk.

fair point, but with Ibaka gone there aren't many top tier defensive PF's left.  There also aren't going to be many (if any at all) duo's that will even pose real problems for Dirk & DMC on either end of the floor.

Since fitz did reach out to me about picking for him (indicating he wouldn't be here) and I know he's on Australian time, I'm going to make an autopick for him.

Fitz gets Pau Gasol

I don't know if this is Australian humor, Fitz. But I don't find this funny.

TRADE

Chicago Sends: Dwayne Wade and 7.5

Miami Sends: 1.20 4.20

This isn't official yet. Since it involves BG, it has to go through me (or KGK). Both parties must PM me the trade.

I don't think Bogut is much of a reach.

He's been in the conversation for DPOY most the season.

He is IMO in a sense that I think I could've selected some All Star names instead.

I just thought it'll be hard without an defensive anchor, and there's not a lot out there.

Interesting to see cp07 going for the big three in Miami. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Meh, disagree on both accounts I guess.

I think there's still a handful of solid defensive bigs. Maybe less flashy names though.

Also a little too early to say there's no duos that will give you problems defensively.
