 Andre Drummond
 Anthony Davis
 Paul George
 Bradley Beal
 Steph Curry

That team would be world beaters.

I'm pretty sure that the best possible starting five you could make would include

Chris Paul
Paul George
Kevin Love
Anthony Davis

... and the only position really up for discussion would be shooting guard. Choose between Andre Iguodala, Dwyane Wade, and Steph Curry. My gut says that Iguodala maximizes the performance of that group even though he's the weakest scorer.

Make what you think is the most complete and best starting five without these five players Lebron, Harden, Durant, Carmelo, Dwight Howard

CP3, Wade, George, Griffin, Love

Injury not a factor: Rondo/Westbrook, Kobe, George, Griffin, Love

Rondo would, as the OP requests, rounds out a complete starting 5 with 2-5 being scorers.

Honorable mention to LA, Anthony Davis, Drummond
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
Chris Paul
Wesley Matthews
Paul George
Kevin Love
Anthony Davis

Wes because you need a 3 and D guy in this situation, with everyone else a scorer. Iggy is one of the best defenders in the league, but he doesn't stretch the floor. CP3 gets team leader role, thrives with pick and pop with Love. George/Matthews both spread the floor as well, and Davis is there for defensive purposes.
I like Marcus Smart

To win a championship this year? I'll assume that's the goal. I like the emphasis on "most complete."

Hibbert
Nowitzki
George
Curry
Paul

I'm stunned that no one else has picked Hibbert. Defense!
