So far, the Boston Celtics have no traction on any deals, league sources tell Yahoo Sports

Sounds like we are waiting till the Summer when the draft order is set. Being patient is likely the best course of action.

Kind of disappointed. I was expecting some sort of a trade today, which doesnt seem the case moving towards the deadline..

Yup and its not like our draft position is hurting us well lose games even standing pat. I bet Rondo is shutdown toward the end of the year as welll

I don't think Ainge is necessarily "waiting" for the draft order to be set. He's just waiting for deals that he likes. Whether that comes at the trade deadline, before the trade deadline, on draft night, in September, whatever... he'll make a deal when and if he likes the return for the players involved.
Celtics fan for life.

Not any offers that we know of. Im sure that some teams have called for Bass, Bradley and maybe Bayless, but I just dont think that Ainge likes what they are offering :)

Knew it was a bad sign when Hawes went for 2 second rounders.  Nobody is going to give us even that much for Bass when he has an extra year left on his deal.

Guess it's going to be a lot more of the same with this group.  Can't even clear the deck to get more playing time for the young'uns.

I really didn't think any deals would get done. draft day will see a lot more action.

kinda surprised no playoff team jumped on bass. guess they value an end of 1st rnd pick more than their chances in the playoffs.

Update from Washburn:

Means nothing.  Wake me up in an hour and a half.

Most likely just Boston leaking that they aren't close to anything with hopes that it will drive up the bidding over the home stretch.

Wish I could have your "glass half full" attitude.

i think danny might be overlooking the appeal of getting worse for this year's draft pick.

No point in making a trade if the current price is what it is.

It's okay.

I remember one year when Anthony Parker was the main discussion near deadline.

This is not bad at all.  ;D
