BOSTON GETS:
Ben Gordon
MKG
Jeff Teague
Demarre Carroll
Spencer Hawes
1st round pick from ATL
ATL GETS:
Rondo
Jeff Green
Jeff Adrien
CHA GETS:
Evan Turner
Brandon Bass
Lou Williams
PHILLY GETS:
Gerald Wallace (or Kris Humphries)
Elton Brand
1st Rounder from CHA
2nd Rounder from ATL
2nd Rounder from BOS
ATL and CHA get instantly more competitive, and it costs them each a 1st rounder, a prospect (Carroll for ATL and MKG for CHA), at minimal cap hits.
ATL upgrades from Teague to Rondo, and Carroll to Jeff Green.
CHA upgrades from MKG to Turner and also gets Bass and Lou Williams
Philly facilitates the trade with their expirings, and has to take back Wallace for a 1st and some 2nd rounders. They get to bottom out, and net their top 3-5 pick. Wallace would be off the books long after they would have to start re-signing their youth.
Boston goes complete, thermal nuclear blow up. We downgrade Rondo to Teague, but also get Teague for 4 years at a much better price.
That difference in talent, plus shipping out every lengthy contract (Green/Bass/Wallace) also nets us a 2nd rounder upgraded to a 1st, MKG and Carrol who are solid prospects, Hawes who is also solid and can either expire or re-sign, and we would also be able to bottom out and land a top pick of our own. We would have more draft ammo than anyone, plus a solid core of youth, and a ton of cap space. That is how you rebuild.
