Terry provides veteran leadership, and Evans gobbles up boards.

They also want McLemore taking the reins, but they can't just make Thornton a sixth man since hes getting paid 8 mil.

Thornton's game has fallen off a cliff, and he really has zero value for them right now.

I'm more surprised that the Nets want to do this.  Reggie Evans is an under-appreciated player.

Saves Sacto a little money next year, which will be useful if either a) Gay leaves, giving them more cap space, or b) Gay stays, putting them near the luxury tax.  (Also, Rudy is way overpaid.  When you complain about how much Jeff Green makes, remember that Rudy Gay makes double.)

Shuffling of the deck chairs, BKN trying to upgrade its talent and SAC upgrading its locker room.

He's more explosive then terry. And Evans gets no run. Thornton is streaky but he can get hot. Like this for both teams. Nets get a jr smith/Danny green type streaky shooter and scorer. Kings get a little cap relief by taking back less money.

Brooklyn is getting younger, but I wouldn't go as far as calling it an upgrade in talent. Thornton hasn't been too good off the bench, and he needs to chuck a lot of shots to be effective.

Thornton isn't what the Nets needed. They needed someone who can impact the game without needing shots. Not a one dimensional scorer.

It's a shame. Thornton could be a really useful piece on the right team but it has never happened for him. I hope he finds a better situation once his contract expires.

Looks a lot like one of those "best of change of scenery" for everyone.  I actually like it more on SAC's end.
