Concerned about re-signing him, Cavs have been testing trade market for Luol Deng ahead of deadline, multiple sources told ESPN.

Wow.

Mess in Cleveland. Hope Deng is traded somewhere where his abilities are appreciated and he fits in for a contender. I've always liked him.

He's clearly not going to resign there unless they overpay him massively.

So the trade for him is a sunk cost, might as well try to get some value back. There is a reason Grant was fired.

Great news for the Celtics if they can convince Cleveland that Green would be better for them then Deng.  Then find a third team to send Deng to getting back that solid player and a 1st.

Should Ainge go after Deng? If the price tag were Jeff Green, Bogans, and a 1st rounder, would you do it?

I know Ainge has recently said the plan is to clear the books for Summer 2015, so perhaps he's not interested in resigning Deng to big money. But would it be worth it to hold onto Deng's rights going into the offseason? If he walks, Boston's still cleared Green off the payroll (although at the cost of a first rounder).

Great reason to lowball them too from the prospective of other GMs.

I posted about this a few weeks ago. Send them Bass and Green for Deng. I'd be thrilled if that deal got done.

cavs have won 5 in a row, if they still want to make the playoffs green would help. plus he is signed for a few more years.

Who is giving up a solid player and a 1st for a Deng rental? Wouldn't CLE prefer that to Green?

I guess it depends on which first rounder the Celtics would have to give up. If it's the LAC 2015 pick, then I think they could go for it. But I think Cleveland would want our first rounder this year

Any Deng trade will be made a bit more complicated by the fact that the Cavs can trade him by himself, not in combination with any others.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Then you hang up on them.

Cle still wants to make the playoffs.  The acting GM is trying to win the job.

I think they would want a win now trade with the assets being there in the future.

Dream scenario, Green and Wallace for Deng.
