Parsons , TJones , picks?

Do they have picks to give us? Need 3rd team to give pick maybe for Asik?

Edit: merged in Realgm Rondo trades sticky:

Gosh darn Houston could be one of the worst trade partners we can ever have.

Who or what would they give up? Asik, Lin, 1st rounder/s? Harden is young, Parsons is young, Howard is relatively young, so those first rounders won't even sniff top 20 for the next 5 years if they add Rondo to that mix. And I doubt Morey will be willing to give up any of those three.

And I like Asik and Lin, but they are not on Rondo's level (that's combined). I see no one else on that roster that's worth while.

Danny isn't going to do this, he'd be crazy if he will.

I hope it's a 3 team deal, so we can get good picks. Parsons, Jones, and 2 good first rounders.

If we get Lin, I'd be extremely happy (from a fan's perspective) lol

I think he hangs up. That's not enough value for Rondo.

That's basically Lin, Asik and a late first. Unless he has a Lex Luthor type plan of stealing a superstar talent in pick 25, he will say "no thanks."

I'm not saying I would do this deal, but I think you are totally overvaluing Rondo here. He's a mid-career PG coming off major knee surgery who has peaked, has flaws in his game, and will demand a max deal after next season. We are not getting an all-star for him, and I'm guessing Ainge has already privately decided he won't re-sign him to a max deal either.

Lin, Asik and a late first would make me throw up. Danny has lost his mind if he's dwelling on that.

I'm not sure why Houston would be so high on Rondo either. He can't shoot, and pairing him with Howard who can't shoot, and a guy like Harden who needs the ball in his hands doesn't sound good to me.

He thinks hard about how to not bust a gut from laughter. None of those pieces are bad (Lin is decent, but overpaid, Asik is a potentially very good player but has a very minimal track record, and a late 1st round pick is eh), but we're talking about Rondo. If the pick was a lottery pick, then I'd at least not hang up, but unless there is a third team, that's not happening with Houston.

Im with Yoki on this one. Theres no way that is equal value to what Rondo brings to the table.  I have trouble with people believe Rondo is basically over the hump and washed up. He is 27 freakin years old about to enter 5 to 6 years of his prime and after surgery while he is still sluggish he is averaging 10, 7, and 5.

Well, they have Lin right now. Rondo's skillset is basically the same as Lin's, but he's just better in every regard except for the shooting.
