Just want to bump this thread up because I believe McDaniels doesn't get enough love.  He would be an uber-athletic SF for us who would really help out in defense/rebounding/blocked shots.  Also he looks like he has developed a pretty decent outside stroke that could get better with time.

Again, I would not be surprised to see McDaniels selected at pick #17 by the Celtics.  In the past, Ainge has shown a love for 2-way players, see Tony Allen and Avery Bradley, but he has better size than either of them at 6'6 with 6'9.5" wingspan.  McDaniels just strikes me as the type of guy who would simply dominate the competition in one on one workouts.  Kind of like the way Rondo was dominating in workouts, and then Ainge found a way to buy a pick to take Rondo.
