  • Let's Go Celtics!
GS gets: Avery Bradley (EDIT: + LAC's 2015 1st)

Boston gets: Klay Thompson

Why for GS - Reportedly, they're open to trading anyone but Steph Curry and Andrew Bogut. An Andre Iguodala / Bradley / Bogut trio would solidify their defense, which is currently holding them back from being a true elite team.

Why for Boston - Klay is a knock down shooter and plays excellent off the ball. At 6'7" he's the prototype SG I'd want sharing the backcourt with Rondo.

If I were Boston, I'd do that deal in a heartbeat.  Which makes you question why GS would do it.  Clay is a knockdown shooter at SG.

Why would GS even entertain this trade idea?  Completely unbalanced in Boston's favor.

I agree, I thought it was unbalanced and I was originally going to add GS receiving LAC's 2015 1st rounder as well but I thought that would get ripped apart.

Well if Danny can pull that off, I'll make him a statue outside my house;

BTW, the way Crawford is stinking up GSW right now, I seriously doubt GSW will deal with us this season;

Well, they got Crawford simply by being willing to pay his salary for the rest of the year, so I doubt there are too many hard feelings.  The goodies we got came from Miami.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Warriors need more scoring punch, more specifically, a guy who can penetrate the lane.

It is true about the reports that they will be willing to trade anyone but Bogut and Steph, but Avery is not what they are looking for.

even with the pick there's no way GSW makes that deal.  I'd love it, which is probably a good sign is unbalanced in the C's favor

Exactly.  There is no way they would do that trade....

No thanks.

While Lee is the best player in the trade right now, Sullinger is rising fast. By the time the rest of the pieces are put into place, the contention window with Lee as one of your core players is just too short.

When factoring in production, contract, and upside, Sullinger is the best piece in this trade IMO. It's always difficult to win a trade when giving up the best piece.

If I'm trading for players in their 30's, I need them to be future hall of fame caliber and/or completing the rebuild unless it is for pennies on the dollar.

make it Bass instead of Sully and i'd probably do it.  doesn't help with the PF logjam though since we'd still have 3 that would need minutes.

Thompson has by far more value around the league than anyone on our roster save for Rondo (and that's probably close given their respective ages and contracts).  The idea that we could get Thompson without giving up either Rondo or multiple first rounders is laughable.
