If we get a 1st from ATL
Would we have 3 first rounders? Ours nets and atl ?

Yes. Those picks would be swappable, too.. Which doesn't mean anything if we have both but would be fun to swap them just because.

Atlanta isn't moving Horford. They want to get better, not blow up their team.

Better when? That's the question.

If its nets pick, likely 15-20

Meh ...... :-\

Some deal for Horford ......or forget it ................trade Bass for that pick .......not Green

Bit unrealistic expectations.

Yes, unless we sent back a first. Otherwise we wouldn't be getting a first round pick from Atlanta...

I would hate if they moved Green for expirings and a mid tier first rounder?

There's most value to be had.
Is there though? After Danny went public with the whole "People expect to much out of a role playing player like Jeff Green" and the multiple reports of Green being heavily shopped, maybe there isn't a lot more value to be gotten in a Jeff Green move.

Yea, think about it....

Okc had to give up green and a 1st just to get perk, that was when green still had some upside.

Now green is 28, has had a heart surgery, and has shown he is nothing more than a very good role player.

C's will be luck to get a mid 1st and cut some salary

Green for Brand, Shroeder, Mack, and they change the protections on the pick so the C's get the better of the Atlanta or Nets pick, not the worst.

Considering it's looking more and more likely there won't be much separation between the two picks, I don't think an either/or scenario is enough of a return.  A slight (possible) upgrade in the late teens/early 20's is a marginal asset.

I think Green is easily worth a mid/late 1st and expirings.

Is Jenkins the three point shooter?  I liked him in college.

That's a legit question, Nick.

Would you be happy if they just traded Green for expirings and a middle 1st round pick?

Well, Schroder was a first rounder this year, and the other two in this deal would be expiring contracts that match Green's deal. Add a few draft spots to that package, and I don't think it's any worse than what you're asking for.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I'm not sure what people think we are getting for Green in a 'buyers' market. Move him for a pick and a Carrol.
We ain't getting any more back. If Danny works them really hard he MIGHT get Schroeder out of them but I doubt it.
Just get rid of Green ASAP and secure the top 5 pick.
Hopefully they'd take Bass too because they have a tonne of cap room.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I have no interest in Shroeder, so if he was included that's fine, but he doesn't move the needle for me.  Future picks hold more value than past picks which don't look so great.

Trade Green + Bradley for Horford and Atlanta's 2014 pick

Edit:  Realized after posting that it was a very lopsided deal for Boston.
