To do a 3 for 1 trade the Celtics will need to cut Chris Johnson or Keith Bogans first, I believe.

Well I imagine Pressey would be gone in this deal with Schroeder coming back. Bogans would probably be waived since Faverani at 2 million is the next lowest contract we can trade.

Looking at that roster, there really is nothing realistic I want there if we're trading Green.

I'd love to get the Hawks first rounder. That way we can eliminate the whole pesky thing with Brooklyn's pick.  If they can get an expiring and Schroder then this should be unanmious.

I wonder if they'd be willing to part with Horford, particularly if they're worried about his injury history and him being out for the season and all.

I don't think it's out of the real of possibility considering that currently have Millsap.

And with all that said, I wonder if I personally be willing to get Horford with his injury history... might be worth the gamble throughout our rebuilding process.

Not sure.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
Schroeder, a first, and an expiring would do it for me.
I like Marcus Smart

Good deal. I wanted Shroeder in the draft. A second would be okay, too.

What kind of other filler would have to be involved on our end, though?  Draf picks? Another starter/rotation guy?

A lot to pay.

It isn't really for Jeff Green though, it's to potentially have an improved team for this year's playoffs, that's where the value is here. Say what you will about Jeff Green, but once thing he's very useful at is matching up with big SF types that are at the top of the East like LeBron and George.

That's quite an enticing chip to play with Atlanta for a player who's out for the season and has quite a severe history of injuries.

Id honestly do this if we just got a first and an expiring. Helps team tank and frees up cap space.

Question if we did deal green to ATL, and the hawks have us a 1st this year
We would have ours, nets and hawks?

Hard to make the salaries work. A package of Carroll (2 years), Brand (exp.) and Schroder? This creates cap space for us, probably a prospect in Schroder but not much more. I doubt Atlanta adds a pick to it.

Hawks have a disabled trade exemption from the Horford injury for 5.25 mil, which would make it closer to working salary-wise. I still don't see the point unless we're getting some combination of Schroeder, Noguiera or picks.

Shroeder, Brand, L. Williams (and a second) for Bass and Green. Get it done.
