Lakers will most definitely let Gasol walk at the end of the season. 

Even with Kobe's extension, they'll have max money to offer a free agent this summer by letting Gasol walk.  Max money that will probably go to LeBron James or Carmelo Anthony... or used to absorb Kevin Love (they will also likely have a top 10 pick). 

So ANYTHING they get for Gasol right now is a bonus.  Okafor's expiring + a pick is enough.  Just gives the Lakers more tankability and more assets they will inevitably trade for Kevin Love when he demands a trade home to Los Angeles.

kevin love could demand a trade all he wants to the lakers doesnt mean twolves would do it... they have nothing to offer

celts will have a better pick plus JG and sullinger and maybe just enough cap space to sign melo if we can trade bass....

They also get a very usable Humphries instead of the corpse of Okafor.  Now maybe they prefer the corpse of Okafor (because of insurance, but Okafor is also 2.5 million more against the cap), and I'm not sure they even get a first from Phoenix for Gasol (I think with Bradley and Gasol, Phoenix is more inclined to give up some firsts).
