These were all championship starting lineups of course. I am old enough to have seen all these teams, at least on TV.

I'll comment that my favorite is the 1986 team.  Just so well constructed, and Bird is perhaps my favorite individual Celtic.

Bird. All the way. Watched all the tapes i could find as I'm a bit young but I just love how he played and his mindset and his story and just everything.

If we could chop and change I'd have:
PG: Rondo
SG: Pierce
SF: Bird
PF: McHale
C: Russell
6th man: KG

Fun idea. I think I would start KG at PF and bring McHale off the bench though I might even have Havlicek as 6th man and push McHale to 7th spot.   8)

Same for me.  '91 was my first season following the team.  I LOVED that season.

I voted for the 08-10 team.

I'm also very partial to:

Archibald
Ford
Bird
Maxwell
Parish

McHale: sixth man.

That 1981 team was my first Celtics team.  Tiny became an instant hero of mine.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

As my moniker indicates I haven't been a Cs fan that long so I'll post a concept small ball lineup just because. Lets have Rondo, Cousy and Ray Allen in a 3 guard line up. Lets have Bird and the Big Ticket as stretch forwards. Maybe we have Mchale as  6 man.

I grew up in the 80's...hands down Bird & crew!!!
A winner is someone who recognizes his God-given talents, works his tail off to develop them into skills, and uses these skills to accomplish his goals.

Push yourself again and again. Don't give an inch until the final buzzer sounds.

IMO, the best team of all time is the 1986 Celtics.

DJ
Ainge
Bird
McHale
Parish

How could any team beat a frontline that per game put up:

63.2 points, 27.4 rebounds and 4.0 blocks on 53.2 percent shooting

You had 4 guys who averaged over 15 points per game.

The 6th man gave you 14.1 points, 12.7 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per 36 minutes on 56.2 percent shooting (Walton).

DJ and Ainge were a great combination in the backcourt.  DJ could D up, Ainge was a very good knockdown shooter.

Nobody will ever top the 86' Celtics.
