Jeff Green

for

Danny Green, Matt Bonner, 2014 Spurs 1st, 2014 Clippers 2nd

Boston shaves a ton of salary, gets a respectable relatively young SG, solid shooting stretch PF (though expiring and probably not to be back), a first and a second this year.  San Antonio gets a versatile wing that can fill in for Leonard (and keep them near the top of the West) and when Leonard is back can back him up, play at PF or SG as well providing some solid defense to the bench.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

San Antonio doesn't make desperation moves like this.

Danny Green is a better fit in their system when Leonard is healthy.

They'll just play Diaw at SF a bit and start Green and Belinelli and win lots of games even without Kawhi.

SA is probably the last team to make a panic trade to take on long-term salary.

They'll just play Diaw at SF a bit and start Green and Belinelli and win lots of games even without Kawhi.

Danny Green is injured too, but yeah, they'll adjust, they always do.

Yeah, the Spurs wouldn't make a deal like that. Some dude you've never heard of will soon be playing SF for them and putting up respectable numbers while playing solid D.

San Antonio my second favorite team doesn't panic with trades over the long course of season.

That said a team player like green who is good at everything would be an amazing fit

SAS would probably win the chip if they made that trade.

Doubt it though.

But if they started Jeff green at the two and Khawi got healthy. WOW what a starting 5.

Tony Parker
Jeff green
Khaki Leonard
Splitter
Duncan

Idk why they wouldn't do that.

Danny Green had that amazing 3-pt run in last year's finals, but that is about all he has proven so far. I like the fact that he is a five category player, but the 'points' part really would need to improve if he were to remain a core piece for our future.

Jeff Green would really help out their team. I don't think they give up Bonner so easily, but there should be another way to make the numbers work. Jeff Green for Danny Green and a [very late] first seems more than fair from the Spurs side. I am not so sure it works from the Cs side.

I would love a green for green and a 1st trade

Danny green and Rondo would be a front court

Probably wouldn't need to bring Avery back,

Manu deserves far more blame for that.  He had a horrible Game 6 - and a horrible Finals period.  And he also missed a critical free throw in the waning moments of the game.  Considering that was his fifth time playing in the Finals whereas Leonard was only in his second year as a professional basketball player, I hold Manu to a much higher standard for his ineffectiveness.

Lol I wish. Pop has already declared Kawhi the future of the Spurs.

They also like Livio Jean-Charles and may bring him in next season.

He's not going the miss the playoffs.  There's no reason to make a panic trade.
