Houston has quite a few young, promising players on their roster. You think they would make a run at Rondo? A Core of Rondo, Harden, and Howard would put them over the top.

Rondo, Harden, Parsons or Casspi, Smith, and Howard? Pretty solid...

Couple of possibilities, maybe Houston throws in a future #1?:

Houston receives: Rondo
Boston receives: Beverly, Asik, Jones, future 1st

Houston receives: Rondo, Green
Boston receives: Parsons, Jones, Asik, Lin, future 1st

Houston receives: Rondo
Boston receives: Parsons, Asik, Jones, futures 1st

(All work in trade machine)

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.
