This provides Charlotte with a SF and a SG that can hit three pointers.  Brooks is just a throw in IF we are not going to play him.

This saves us 3.85 million this season alone.  That being said, what would we have at SF??  Another trade would have to address that.

Thoughts?

Why?  What does this do for us?  I don't move Jeff Green to save $4M.  I actually like Biyombo on a team that isn't the Bobcats, but this is just a horrid return for a very solid player in Jeff Green.

Don't take this personally but this is the worst trade idea I've seen on this blog.  Jeff green can net us more than that just by himself.

Please, no more undersized bigs!!! We already have enough of those! We need legit size at the C position.

Honestly, how does this trade help either team?

CHA doesn't need any of those players, at the same time we dont need any of theirs listed either.

I don't follow.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

Yeah, this is, yet again, another Celts Bobcats trade that makes no sense whatsoever.

I'm not confident enough that Biyombo will ever be a starting center to trade Green for him.

Biyombo has FAR MORE upside than does Green.  Green is really barely an average player this year with a 15.2 Efficiency Rating.  Bismack has a 12.4 not getting many minutes behind Big Al.  There is NO Big Al on this team for him to NOT get minutes behind.  Biz was tied for 9th in the NBA in blocks last year!!

I just think that many on this blog are drastically overrating Jeff!!!!

Why would you want Biyombo?  No thanks.

just like how you are drastically overrating biyombo lol. there is a reason the bobcats acquired big al. if you honestly think the proposed trade is the best package we can receive for the players we are giving up you are mistaken. no one is saying jeff green is a stud but he is definitely more valuable than biyombo. ill offer vitor and brooks for biyombo heck maybe even throw in a 2nd round pick because well, we got so many 1st rounders !

Because Biz reminds me of a very young and unpolished Bill Russell who played quite well for our Celtics!!!  He just turned 21 in late August.

Biyombo does have a higher upside, I suppose.  Maybe he becomes a top flight defensive center who can give you 10-12 points a game on like 7 shot attempts.

But he's not as useful a player right now as Green, and it's not clear that he's going to realize his potential at all.  Biyombo is not worth trading starting-quality players.

I am not suggesting trading Green straight up for Green am I??  We would be getting rid of Lee's contract as well.
